基于吕叔湘语气词理论的“啊”字功能研究及其在国际中文口语教学中的应用

摘要:

本文梳理了《中国文法要略》中关于“啊”的全部功能和语法意义,关于语气词“啊”,吕叔湘先生在《中国文法要略》里已经讲得比较完备了,其研究成果对后世学界影响很大,为我们树立了研究范式。本文在吕叔湘先生研究的基础上,进一步梳理了语气词“啊”的研究现状以及研究存在的问题。最后,本文对阅读《中国文法要略》中发现的问题结合自己的思考和理解作出阐述,本文认为“啊”的核心语法意义是强化说话人自身的情感态度,包括有关于话语的祈令、询问、判断等态度,用以强化话语的语气,可以看作一个情态标记语,也可以表达对话语内容肯定的态度。另外,“啊”字在加强话语语气并增加感情成分的基础上,结合语境信息和说话人自身的情绪精神,能够帮助凸显说话人的情感,在具体语境下体现出不同的语用意义,在口语交际中使用频率较高。最后,本文通过总结吕叔湘关于语气词“啊”的研究成果以及研究现状,结合本文的进一步思考,为国际中文教师在口语教学层面提供教学策略。

Abstract:

This paper systematically reviews the functions and grammatical meanings of the particle “A” as discussed in Essentials of Chinese Grammar. Regarding the modal particle “A”,Mr. Lü Shuxiang's analysis in Essentials of Chinese Grammar is relatively comprehensive, and his research has had a significant impact on subsequent academic studies, establishing a research paradigm for us. Via building on Lü Shuxiang's work, this paper further examines the current research status of the particle “A” and identifies existing issues. Finally, based on reflections and insights gained from reading Essentials of Chinese Grammar, this paper elaborates on the core grammatical meaning of “A”,arguing that its primary function is to intensify the speaker's emotional attitude.This includes attitudes related to commands, inquiries, judgments and other discourse-related stances, thereby strengthening the tone of the utterance. It can be regarded as a modal marker and also expresses affirmation toward the content of the discourse. Additionally, on the basis of enhancing the tone and adding emotional elements, the particle “A” combined with contextual information and the speaker's emotional state, helps to highlight the speaker's feelings, exhibiting different pragmatic meanings in specific contexts. It is frequently used in oral communication. Finally, by summarizing Lü Shuxiang's research on the particle “A” and the current state of research, along with further reflections in this paper, teaching strategies are proposed for international Chinese teachers in the context of oral language instruction.
